They should be on every visitor’s “must-do”, at least once when visiting Nosy-Be.
Nosy Komba
It is a volcanic island, and located South of Nosy-Be. It can be seen from the port of Nosy-be in Hell-Ville.
We will spend some hours here before entering the boat again. After this visit, we continue the boat trip over to the next island Nosy Tanikely.
At Nosy Komba you will feel the peace, far away from rush, a busy city, and traffic jams. Allow yourself a peaceful moment and listen to the sound of the tropical rainforest. One of the major attractions here, that are the lemurs. This is a wonderful place to get in contact with lemurs. The lemurs living on this island understand the game of getting full attention. It’s not hard to connect. Don’t be surprised because suddenly you also become an attraction. You don’t have to come to them, they come to you, it won’t take a long time before you have a lemur on your shoulder, a lemur that wants to flatter you or make a nice impression to get a banana. Generally, it can be a very interesting experience to watch and study the behavior of the lemurs.
Other interesting species living on the Nosy Komba Island are reptiles, turtles, geckos, and chameleons.

Nosy Tanikely
After arrival at Nosy Tanikely, we will enjoy traditional Malagasy lunch not far from the beach. Enjoy the beach life. At top of the hill on this island, there is a lighthouse and a small museum.
In Malagasy language, we say «Nosy Antanihely» (The Island of The Small Earth) is recognized for its remarkable marine and land biodiversity. Despite its small size of 341ha, this island has the status of a National Park. The island is located 8.5 km South of Nosy-Be and East of Nosy Komba.
There are two nice beaches on this Island, Ouest Beach and Principale Beach. The coral reef and underwater life here are very diverse and colorful.

You will be picked up by car. Transfer between Ambataloaka Beach in Nosy-Be and Nosy Komba is by boat
Please Note
- We board the boat directly from the beach. This applies both ways to the island and from the island. A towel can be useful to have on departure. We recommend bringing sandals if you do not want to walk barefoot.
- Safety at sea is important to all of us. Please follow all instructions given by the crew of the boat, use a life jacket, avoid smoking as long as you are in the boat, etc
